Artificial nail building gel
(Builder gels, finish gel, ultra bond, gel fixative, French cover gels)

The Aphro Nails gel family consists of 10 basic members, 4 French cover gels and 77 colour gels. This is a unique and a fantastic possibility for the nail technicians who focus on quality not just the quantity of their work.

What does the Aphro Nails gel family offer to the artificial nail technicians? Easy, quick and aesthetic nail building, a lot of grateful clients, professional appreciation as well as alternatives for building even the deformed nails aesthetically and lastingly.

Why are the clients wearing Aphro Nails gel artificial nails satisfied?

  • because after preparing the nails they do not become airy until the filling, therefore there is no fear of fungal infection
  • the artificial nail remains aesthetic during everyday wear clients do not have to bother with the thick artificial nails as the Aphro Nails gels provide durability not because of their thickness but due to their quality
  • clients can wear unique artificial nails tailored to their individual needs, so their friends and acquaintances will be envious of them
  • the preparation time of the artificial nail will be significantly shorter as applying the Aphro Nails gels the ‘C’ curve can be formed quickly

BASE & BOUNDING

The Aphro Nails base gel assures that the artificial nail building material placed on it will not become airy during wearing, so it will perfectly stick to the prepared nail plate. Its use is very simple but it is important to pay great attention to the applied quantity.

This considerably flowing, water-clear gel must not be applied to the nail in layers but it has to be literally massaged with a brush into the uneven surface resulted in the course of roughing. If there is a shining surface after the use of the UV lamp, it means we applied the Aphro Nails base gel in too much quantity.

As it can be noticed from the above mentioned description, only a small quantity has to be used, thus this product is really economical. The satisfied clients wearing Aphro Nails gel artificial nails will prove the fact that the use of the base gel is essential in the course of nail building, applying tips as well as filling.

Please note that applying one layer of the builder gel is not equal to a base gel, so the effect will be different.

I have experienced this different effect, as I was not familiar with the Aphro Nails gel family, therefore I did not even know about the existence of the base gel. Unfortunately even our instructor at school did not know about it. That is why I was happy to participate in an Aphro Nails gel further education course where I was shown everything and I had the possibility to try the materials.

BUILDER GEL CLEAR

This Aphro Nails building gel is a thick, slowly but nicely spreading gel. It is offered to those clients who need strong artificial nails. It also offered to those nail technicians who work more slowly or prepare long nails for their clients, because in the course of nail building the period of self-spreading gives plenty of time to prepare long artificial nails, the substance will not flow into the sidewalls.

Applying this gel, its thickness has to be taken into consideration. It means that in the course of applying we need to pour a quantity of it that equals to the thickness of 3 tips on the surface of the nail cured already with the base gel. After using the UV lamp, one-third part of the gel has to be wiped off with the Aphro Nails gel fixative. The other one-third part has to be filed off in the forming phase, thus a nice, thin and at the same time very strong artificial nail will be prepared.

Please note that while applying builder gels it is permitted to work with one finger at a time. These gels need 60 seconds for the perfect transformation. When the ten nails are ready, ask the client to place the nails under the UV light for 3 minutes then fix the surface of the artificial nails.

I use this builder gel if applying a certain technique, a water-clear, thin base is needed. I also use it for filling, and mostly for the glitter powder technique as well as for covering any other coloured decoration. As it is a water-clear, translucent gel, it preserves and retains the colours, it does not change its tonality and its shade. I was astonished to see that there was no yellowish shade at the end, however, using other companies’ Clear gels I experienced a yellowish shade after complete drying.

BASIC BULDER PINK

This Aphro Nails building pink gel is a thick, slowly but nicely spreading gel. This gel has the same characteristics as the Builder Clear Gel, except that this has a honey-clear, light pink shade. It is recommended to those clients who need strong false nails.

It also recommended to those nail technicians who work more slowly or prepare long false nails for their clients, because in the course of nail building the period of self-spreading gives plenty of time to prepare long false nails, the substance will not flow into the sidewalls.

Applying this gel, its thickness has to be taken into consideration. It means that in the course of applying we need to pour a quantity of it that equals to the thickness of 3 tips on the surface of the nail cured already with the base gel.

I work with it the same way as with the Builder Clear gel. I use it mainly if a client would like discrete and natural-looking nails. It can be achieved mainly by applying a pink shade.

BUILDER GEL PINK

This Aphro Nails extra thick building gel is not a self-spreading gel as the usual artificial nail building gels. Therefore during applying, this gel has to be directed. It can be directed properly if we scoop a plenty of gel onto the brush. We do not have to build thickly, the thickness of 2 tips is sufficient.

After using the UV lamp ask the client to place all the ten nails under the light again, for 2-3 minutes – just the same way as with the Aphro Nails Builder Clear or the Aphro Nails Builder Pink gels, then clean the sticky surface with the Aphro Nails gel fixative. In the forming phase this gel can be filed and formed very easily. The nail technicians who cannot build a nice, smooth surface do not have to worry as it can be corrected while filing.

Please note that this gel can be applied for building, for the tip techniques as well as for filling. In contrast with the other gels the surface of this gel will be smooth and even only in case of scooping a plenty of gel onto the brush. Applying insufficient amount of the gel the nail technician will only be “picking” it, making the substance uneven.

In the case of building I find this gel is the most useful one!

How to work with it?
As we are talking about an extra thick, not self-spreading gel, its practicability is in time in every respect.

Let us begin with the applying as I can apply it to the nail in the desired thickness at once. Still considering the time I can apply it in a ratio of 4-1, as it is so thick that I have never seen it to flow or lean (even in summer when the temperature is about 40 degrees Celsius!).

When I started to use it, or rather to test it, I thought if it was so thick, it would be more difficult to form it, but I was pleasantly surprised as it could have been formed really easily. When my first set was ready, I thought my watch went wrong. But no!

Just to summarize:

  • desired thickness with only one step
  • in a ratio of 4-1
  • it does not flow, does not lean, so there is no extra work while forming
  • easily formed

So, it partially convinced me! Why only partially? Because the nail has to remain a nail even 3-4 weeks after its preparation! And it remained a nail! All the ten remained, without breaking, without becoming airy – they only became overgrown!
Thus I became perfectly satisfied!

1 PHASE VIOLET GEL

This Aphro Nails thick building gel is recommended to those clients whose artificial nails are becoming yellowish due to certain external effects. A few people know but apart from the solarium the different household detergents as well as certain shower gels and shampoos make artificial nails yellowish.

It is a thick building gel that spreads nicely and slowly, so there is enough time to prepare nice, long nails. This gel also has to be applied with the thickness of 3 tips on the surface of the nail. The prepared nail has to be placed back under the UV lamp for about 3 minutes, then clean the 1/3 of the sticky part with the Aphro Nails gel fixative.

The other 1/3 part can be filed and formed during the forming phase which will result in nice, thin, lasting artificial nails free from yellowness.

This gel is tailored to the special needs of my clients.
This gel is bit thicker than the Clear or the French Pink gel; I use it for those clients who need more massive nails. In certain cases I use it even for the glitter technique because there are certain colours that can be tinted with this pleasant violet shade. As a matter of fact, it is very difficult to write about this material, although I apply it nearly to all my clients, actually the magic because of which I like it and work with it with pleasure, is in its substance and colour.

FRENCH PINK

This Aphro Nails Building gel is suitable for building or with tip techniques to prepare French Manicure artificial nails. It is a medium thick material. It covers well even if it is applied in a thin layer, so when sealing with silk wraps it is advisable to place the silk wraps into this layer. It will be completely invisible. The Aphro Nails French Pink gel is recommended for strengthening the toe nail with gel as well as for lengthening it.

Please note that the French Pink gel covers, so if it is applied to the white gel used at the free edge, that will become lighter or it will endow pink effect with it.

I use this gel particularly for those clients whose smaller nail disorders need to be covered.
As it is not a translucent substance it needs a bit longer setting time.
However, its durability is as perfect as that of the other gels. As this substance will not be shining after complete drying I apply the Top Gel to it, because its violet shade tints the opalescent, pink shade.
According to my experiences external factors, like detergents, smoking, etc. have bad effects on opalescent gels, and with the Top Gel I could eliminate them.

FRENCH WHITE GEL

French White Gel (extra white, thin gel) New!

The Aphro Nails thin, white gel is renewed.
With its even whiter colour it is possible to enhance the curved smile line as well as the almond-shaped nails.

Due to its extra white colour it has to be applied to the free edge in a very thin layer because the extra white colour cannot absorb the UV light, so if the nail technician applies the quantity of the normal white gel, the structural transformation of the gel will take place only in the upper layer, the middle part will remain flowing or it will get blistered.

I mostly use this magnificent snow-white gel in the course of blending and filling. As only a very thin layer is needed, my filling will never be thick. This gel can be used excellently while decorating.

FRENCH SOFT WHITE GEL

Snow-white, quite thick building gel. Before every use it has to be stirred up thoroughly. Despite its thickness we can prepare very nice and thin artificial nail with it. For application we recommend to use two brushes.

With the first brush apply the substance and with the second one draw the smile line. In the course of nail building take into consideration that its structural transformation is 90 seconds. The white free edge has to be covered with one of the Aphro Nails building gels (Builder pink, Builder clear, Top gel, Violet gel, Finish gel).

I use this gel because of its substance; it seems as if I had painted the white edge in one thin layer with a nail varnish. I can apply to it any gel used for shining, as it does not become yellow.

TOP GEL

This Aphro Nails building gel is a medium thick substance. That is why it spreads quickly, thus the working time will become shorter. Its magnificent shine makes it possible for the nail technician to build different glitters, rhinestones, and nail jewelries into the artificial nail.

This flexible substance follows the shape of the nail well, therefore it is also perfect for strengthening natural nails. It can be used for both the built and tip technique, for blending and naturally for filling.

Please note that if you stir a little amount of French white gel into the Top gel when preparing the free edge, the artificial nail will be natural-like, as the white free edge will not be snow-white.

Although it is a building gel, I always apply it as a shining gel, perhaps because it has a thinner substance than the other building gels. It has a magnificent shine; as I use it as a shine, according to its violet shade I can decide, when and for which technique I will apply it as the final step.

QUICK FINISH GÉL

Glittering, thin, Aphro Nails finish cover gel. The surface and the periphery of the artificial nail built with the Aphro Nails building gels and formed with the Aphro Nails special file have to be dusted thoroughly with a dust brush. The Aphro Nails Finish Gel has to be applied with polishing movements in a thin layer. There will be a perfect structural transformation under the UV light.

I use it as the final step, mainly with the glitter technique, as the glitters will become more glittering. This way I can intensify the impression. I also apply this technique for those clients who visit me between two fillings for blending.

Ultra bond

Ultra bond: 3 in 1 preparatory material, disinfects, degreases and promotes adhesion.

It is recommended to use this substance in every case for both tip and built techniques, while blending or filling, either with gel or porcelain material.

Build the artificial nail on the sticky layer formed after applying the prep material. Do not clean that sticky layer.

GÉL FIXATIVE (CLEANER LIQUID)

On the surface of the gel there will be a sticky part after the structural transformation caused by the UV light. It is a characteristic feature of the Aphro Nails gels. The thicker the material is, the thicker this sticky part will be. This feature has to be taken into consideration while applying the building gel.

After treating the nail with UV light for the appropriate time, soak a fibreless wiping pad thoroughly with the Aphro Nails gel fixative liquid, then wipe the surface of the artificial nail with a firm, quick movement.

If the Aphro Nails gel drops by accident, the Aphro Nails gel brush, the external and the internal parts of the UV lamp, the work table can be cleaned with the Aphro Nails fixative gel.

FRENCH COVER GELS

I am completely satisfied with these materials. Although I do not have the whole arsenal, I believe that the materials I possess have already proved their quality so I do not have to test the rest of them, I just use them immediately. By the way, I am completely satisfied with all the materials!

Extending the nail bed made it possible for those having short nails to wear nice, aesthetic and long artificial nails. The Aphro Nails French cover gels are available in four different colours. If we choose a proper French cover gel that suits the client’s skin, the finished artificial nail will be totally natural-like. The French cover gels cannot be used for building. We always need to apply them as a base and then they have to be covered with one of the Aphro Nails building gels.
Natural:this skin-coloured gel suits a lot of people’s skin colour. It is not provoking. It provides a really discreet impression.
Pink:It mainly suits youngish, healthy nails. If a stronger pink colour suits the client better, drop 1-2 drops of the Aphro Nails Red colour gel into the pink gel.
Cream:It is recommended particularly to the white-skinned clients. Its light ivory colour enhances the slim nails.
Dark Pink:It is particularly recommended to those clients whose nails need "breathing life into their nails".
